Valley Preferred appoints Director, Finance and Operations

Tracy Hujsa, Director, Finance and Operations
Valley Preferred, the health care provider organization aligned with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), has announced the promotion of Tracy Hujsa to Director, Finance and Operations. Formerly Finance Manager, Hujsa has been working with LVHN for over 36 years, 20 of those with Valley Preferred.
In her new role, Hujsa continues to lead a diversified team. She is responsible for long-range financial planning and oversight of financial management for Valley Preferred and for Populytics, the population health management subsidiary of LVHN. Hujsa is in charge of developing and balancing annual operating budgets and leading various departmental operating and administrative projects. She directs day-to-day financial operations of Valley Preferred and ensures assigned functions comply with applicable local, state, and federal and accrediting agency regulations. She establishes internal controls and quality review processes to ensure consolidation of all financial statements in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP, while ensuring the Valley Preferred Board of Trustees and Populytics leaders receive full and accurate information regarding the organizations’ activities and financial performance.
Hujsa began her career as an administrative professional and eventually moved into a financial assistant position where she found her interest in accounting, spending 28+ years in that field. She received her associates degree in accounting from Lehigh Carbon Community College and is currently studying at Cedar Crest College, anticipating earning her Bachelor of Science in business administration in the spring of 2023. Hujsa serves on the Strategic Development and Planning Team for the Valley Preferred Achieving Clinical Excellence® (ACE) program and is a member of the Valley Preferred Provider Communications Committee and the Valley Preferred Spirit of Courage cabinet.
