Valley Preferred adds board members as Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization Grows

Valley Preferred/Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization (LVPHO), the preferred provider organization aligned with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), and which supports physicians and other health care providers excel in practice, has added four members to its Board of Trustees. They include Matthew McCambridge, MD, MS, FACP, FCCP, Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer, LVHN; Glenn Kratzer, MD, Associate Medical Director, Valley Preferred; Robert Kruklitis, MD, PhD, Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine, and Medical Director of the Air Products Center for Connected Care and Innovation; and Allison Yudt, Administrator, Payment Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Populytics.

All four appointees are active in furthering the growth and scope of Valley Preferred, through its affiliation with health care data analytics and LVHN subsidiary Populytics, Inc., leadership in regional population health initiatives, and groundbreaking work in innovative payer contracting to perform successfully in value-based care and to benefit all parties.

Glenn Kratzer, MD, is a primary care physician in Allentown, Pa., and has a long and honorable history with Valley Preferred. He serves on numerous committees including the LVHN Wellness Committee, formed to track and develop practical programs related to reducing administrative burdens for physicians and other clinicians, so they may maximize their time spent in patient care. He is also a Valley Preferred Associate Medical Director (AMD), who makes personal visits to practices for the purposes of education, mentoring, and general support.

Robert Kruklitis, MD, PhD, works closely with LVHN executive management, clinical chairs, Populytics, and service line vice presidents to link innovation into network strategies for population and community health. Dr. Kruklitisjoined the LVHN medical staff in 2004 and has served as director of interventional pulmonology, chief of pulmonary medicine, vice chair of clinical programs in the department of medicine, and assistant medical director for medical specialties within Lehigh Valley Physicians’ Group (LVPG). He is a clinical associate professor of medicine at University of South Florida and is a fellow in the College of Chest Physicians. His interests include bronchoscopy, lung cancer, COPD, and asthma. He has established several novel and innovative bronchoscopic programs in the Lehigh Valley and is one of 50 worldwide experts in advanced bronchoscopic technologies.

Matthew McCambridge, MD, MS, FACP, FCCP, is responsible for the quality of the entire LVHN hospital system, in the areas of patient safety, infection prevention, infection control, and regulatory compliance. A respected physician with impeccable credentials from Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown Medical School, and Walter Reed Army Hospital, he also manages his own practice, Pulmonary Associates, Allentown, Pa. McCambridge works with the health care analytics team at Populytics to develop value based pathways that can transform health care around the specific data-identified needs in our particular population. These cover all phases of patients’ health care, from physical and behavioral to social factors such as transportation and finance.

Allison Yudt is responsible for overseeing the facilitation, implementation, and performance of value-based contracts and leading payment innovation projects in support of LVHN’s high-value strategic and operational goals. She works closely with the leadership at Populytics and Valley Preferred, as well as the Business and Network Development and Payer Contracting departments, to develop and implement competitive strategies in support of reimbursement transformation. Yudt is a member of the Valley Preferred Board of Directors (hospital class) Previously, Yudt worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and The Lewin Group. Her clients included the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health, and pharmaceutical companies. Yudt also worked as an independent consultant for the U.S. Senate Budget committee and the State Health Care Cost Containment Commission. Yudt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree from the University of Virginia.
