As Robert X. Murphy, MD transitions from the Interim-Executive Director position to focus on his role as Enterprise Chief for Provider Network Development at Jefferson Health, we are pleased to announce the appointments of Dan Bair as Executive Director and John J. Stoeckle, MD, CHQS, as Medical Director of Valley Preferred. Robert X. Murphy, MD will remain actively involved as Vice Chair for the Valley Preferred Board of Trustees.

Dan Bair has supported Valley Preferred’s day-to-day operations since March 2025 and brings nearly two decades of experience in population health and health care service line administration. Prior to joining Valley Preferred, Dan served as Regional Executive Director for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, where he successfully unified multiple Clinically Integrated Networks. He is a recognized expert in value-based care and alternative payment models, having led numerous commercial payer arrangements and Medicare Shared Savings Programs. Dan holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from St. Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Respiratory Therapy from Millersville University. He resides in the Lehigh Valley.

Dr. John Stoeckle has served as Associate Medical Director of Population Health for Valley Preferred and Populytics. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Stoeckle has been instrumental in advancing Valley Preferred’s mission to raise quality and value in health care delivery. He co-leads the Quality Improvement Program and serves as the physician lead for the Achieving Clinical Excellence® program. Dr. Stoeckle earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and holds a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality & Safety from the Jefferson College of Population Health.
