John J. Stoeckle, MD, CHQS

Associate Medical Director

John J. Stoeckle, MD, CHQS, is Associate Medical Director of Population Health for Valley Preferred and the Department of Family Medicine, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). He is also Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida’s (USF’s) Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Stoeckle works closely with Valley Preferred leadership on initiatives that further its mission to raise quality and value in health care delivery. Specifically, he co-leads the Valley Preferred Maintenance of Certification Quality Improvement Program. He serves on the Achieving Clinical Excellence® (ACE) Planning Committee, which drives Valley Preferred’s relationship with its member physicians in a combined effort to facilitate a transition from volume-based to value-based health care. Additionally, Dr. Stoeckle convenes with leadership within the Department of Family Medicine to improve population health management. He is co-chair of the STFM Practice Management Subcommittee, and serves on the Department of Family Medicine Joy Committee, among numerous other committee positions.

Dr. Stoeckle received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, and was Chief Resident at Philadelphia’s Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Department of Family & Community Medicine. He received his Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality & Safety from the Jefferson College of Population Health.
