James W. Manley, DO, has been named Vice Chair of the Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization, Inc., (LVPHO), a partnership between Lehigh Valley Health Network and the Greater Lehigh Valley Independent Practice Association (GLIVPA), and d.b.a. Valley Preferred. Dr. Manley plays a key role in advancing the LVPHO mission of ensuring high-value health care, satisfied patients, and positive outcomes at an affordable cost.
Dr. Manley is also the Chair of the Greater Lehigh Valley Independent Practice Association, Inc., and has served in this role since February 2009. The GLVIPA represents more than 1,100 physician members. In addition, he is one of the founding members of both the LVPHO and GLVIPA.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Manley received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center provided Dr. Manley his internship and residency in Family Medicine and he is board certified in Family Medicine.
An active leader in the medical community, Dr. Manley is a private family practitioner and serves as a school physician for the Bethlehem Area School District.
